Description

We are continuously expanding. Today we are present in over 40 countries around the world, and have ambitions for further international growth. Every year we are looking for ambitious trainees who will take the step together with us.

Our corporate trainee programme helps ensure the company meets its long-term demand for professionals and leaders within defined subject areas. To be considered as a trainee you need to have a Master's degree with excellent results. You can come directly from university or have up to two years work experience behind you. We annually recruit approximately 30 trainees.

The positions are posted on StatoilHydro.com in October. Possible candidates are invited to an assessment centre in December and the corporate trainee programme, which is a 2-year programme, starts in August the following year.

During the corporate trainee programme you will spend time in two to four different departments or projects. One of them could be in another discipline than your own. The purpose is to acquire a deep competence within one functional area, as well as achieving a broad knowledge and understanding of the company’s total value chain.

You will also work on a “business assignment” together with other trainees, in addition to your regular job. The trainee group is also used as a resource in corporate initiatives and projects that require cross-functional insight and organisational understanding.

You will have a mentor who will follow up your personal and professional development during the entire trainee period, and who will advise you regarding your permanent placement at the end of the programme. In addition, you will get support from the line manager responsible at each placement.

Proficiency in several languages, especially languages we use in our international activities, will be beneficial. Candidates with international experience, or who have lived or studied outside their home country, will also have an advantage. Our new colleagues must identify themselves with our values, be results-focused and flexible.

The programme has been voted the best trainee programme in Norway several times over the past few years.
