Open Internships Around the World

We offer dozens of internships to students in various KONE units around the world. Countries and KONE units offering trainee positions vary every year. Internships last from three to six months, and usually begin in April or May. You will face interesting challenges and become acquainted with KONE as an international company. Internships are also an excellent stepping-stone to a career with KONE!

What if I'm Chosen?

KONE covers the travel costs from your home country to the host country and back. You’ll receive help in arranging housing and receive a trainee salary, based on a typical salary level in the host country. The local KONE unit will help in arranging your accommodation and assign a contact person to whom you can turn for assistance. You are responsible for obtaining personal insurance and residence and work permits (if applicable) before departure.

After the traineeship many of our trainees continue their career with us doing master’s thesis projects, summer jobs and later after graduation also in permanent positions in different units and functions around the world.

Most KONE internships require business, engineering or Information Technology studies, but there are also positions for students from other disciplines. The KONE International Trainee Program is for university students who are at least halfway through their studies. They have good English language skills and in many cases are also familiar with the language of the host country.
