Description

The choice is yours
This eighteen-month traineeship will give you a good overview of our entire business and show you to which aspect you are most suited. During the first six months, you are introduced to our different businesses and their activities. You also participate in a number of professional training courses and skill-building classes. After this, you choose your own projects, at least one of which will be
based abroad, perhaps in America, Asia, or another European country. This flexibility allows you to decide the direction your career at Fortis should take.

Take charge
You will have the opportunity to work on both company-wide and cross-border projects, enabling you to deepen your knowledge of the Fortis organisation. While selecting and running your own projects, you will gain more insights into your own abilities and discover which challenges you find the most stimulating. You are responsible for the success of your own projects. During your traineeship, you will develop your ability to manage projects, conduct commercial negotiations and work in a team with people from different departments. International workshops on Finance and Insurance issues will help you understand how our core businesses work. In a relatively short period of time, you will be prepared for challenging positions in different businesses
like Commercial & Private Banking, Retail Banking, Merchant Banking, Investment Services, Insurance, Support or Operations.

Keep learning
Senior Managers and professional coaches will provide support as you acquire knowledge, new skills and insights. After your traineeship, we will continue to focus on your development – and closely monitor the progress of your career.
