What is the best thing about your graduate programme and why would you recommend it to others?

“With the rotation through units of the department, the Challenge Initiative broadened my outlook, knowledge and experience.

“My transition from university to the work place was helped not only by my mentor and coach but also by the support of my fellow trainees.  The coaching culture is not about telling you what needs to done but rather providing the focus, direction and information to let you perform in your job.

“From the beginning I wanted to work in Marketing.  This is an especially interesting and important area in British American Tobacco for making sure consumers can get our brands just where they want them, when they want them, through an efficient distribution network and good relations with the retail trade.  With activities to tackle illicit trading and fierce competition, my department challenges people to perform innovatively and responsibly.

“Working for British American Tobacco requires commitment in every individual.  But the organisational time and attention given to me from the first day spoke volumes about the commitment the company has towards the Challenge Initiative.”
