Description

A prelude to the full-time, two-year rotational program is the LDP Internship Program. The Internship Program is designed for undergraduates and graduate students who are within one year of graduation. This 10-12 week summer internship program offers high caliber students an excellent opportunity to perform challenging work while evaluating their compatibility with AT&T. The LDP Internship participants are a diverse group of talented individuals with a variety of educational backgrounds who are expected to exemplify AT&T's highest standards of performance, ethics, and leadership. The AT&T LDP Internship Program gives candidates a jump start into a career with an ever-evolving leader in the communications industry.

Program Structure
The program pairs each student with a supervisor who is committed to providing a rich developmental experience designed to grow individual leadership skills. Students also have the opportunity to share experiences with their peers via site visits and networking events. LDP Internship participants are assigned to various business units. Internship assignments vary and are geographically dispersed across our domestic U.S. cities.

Professional Development

A key focus of our internship program is professional growth and development. AT&T provides participants with the following opportunities:

  • Orientation
  • Regular meetings with LDP participants
  • Executive networking events
  • Mentoring opportunities
  • Additionally, through coordinated tours and job site visits to key operations, social events, and community service events, participants develop a close knit network of peers across the company — at both a local and national level.

Mentoring
LDP Internship participants are assigned an experienced participant of AT&T's Leadership Development Program to serve as their mentor. The goal is to provide incoming participants with a network of resources who can offer guidance and support during the summer internship.

Progression to the Leadership Development Program
The goal of the program is to develop potential candidates for AT&T's Leadership Development Program. Consideration is based on individual job performance, feedback from the LDP Internship supervisor, and a final presentation. Individuals who qualify will complete additional interviews with members of the LDP Corporate Staff.
